Born in Kansas and raised in Brazil, Alexander attended both the Graded School in São Paulo and the American School of Brasilia - where he experienced firsthand the unique challenges and benefits that accompany being a third-culture kid. After graduating from high school he took a gap year to work at his former school co-teaching 11th grade English while also serving as a political translator for the Brazil based consulting firm Arko Advice.
